“2014” — A Smooth Transition — “2015”

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13(8)

smooth_transitionIn the political arena when an election causes a change in a political office, it is not uncommon to hear them speak of expecting a smooth transition. Our focus is not on a political transition but rather concerning entering a new year.  Through the greatness of our God we expect a smooth transition from “2014” to “2015”.

In a world of turmoil and uncertainty, we can move forward in confidence knowing we serve an unchanging Savior. His power and authority that was manifested in the old year will continue unchanged into the new year. The abundant love and mercy of our Lord will provide a continuous comfort and calming effect upon our lives as we look unto Him.

His spiritual provisions in times of trouble will be available without interruption. “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.” Psalm 138(7) The ability to rejoice in the face of adversity will continue to be a vital part of our spiritual armor. “For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.” Psalm 27(5-6)

We rejoice in the knowledge and assurance that we will be able to transition smoothly into the new year as we walk hand in hand with our Savior!

He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13(5)
